Increasing emphasis is being placed on R&D to innovate materials that are not only smarter but also produced using sustainable processes. Using case studies from leading organisations in the automotive, aerospace, telecoms, imaging and chemical sectors, this event will examine the latest technological developments in: composite materials, high throughput screening, coatings, surfaces and nano-materials. At this leading forum time has been allowed to discuss issues across a range of manufacturing sectors as well as a chance to meet the experts from across academia and industry.

Speakers include representatives from McClaren Racing, Airbus, Ilika Technologies Ltd, Nokia Research Centre, Sun Chemical, Kodak European Research, Cranfield University, National Physical Laboratory, University College London, Cambridge University and Queen Mary University.
