The UK's environmental technology industry is the world's fifth largest, consisting of more than 17,000 companies. Worth £45 billion, it is expanding at a rate of 6% per year.

Climate Change eventThe Environmental Technologies Group is aimed at strengthening your connections to this industry. Founded in 2006, the Group brings together professionals from industry, academia and government across London, the East and South-East of England, to stimulate further knowledge exchange and interaction across all sectors.

The Group produces regular networking events on environmental technologies. Our next event is Climate Change Risk, Adaptation and Resilience, to be held on 28 September 2010. To read the programme, click on the image, right. Past events have discussed topics such as Natural Fibre Composites, The Hydrogen Economy, Smart Metering, Carbon Capture, Managing Waste in the Food Industry, Sustainable Transport Systems, Contaminated Land & Groundwater, Climate Modelling, Generating Value from Waste, Urban Environment, Green IT, Renewable Energy, Materials, Biofuels and Energy Efficiency in the Home.

To date these event have attracted more than 1000 representatives from across the public and private sectors, including: Arup, Atkins, Biffa, BP, University of East Anglia, The Carbon Trust, City University, EDF Energy, The Environment Agency, Imperial College London, Lloyd's Register Rail, London Underground, UCL, Shell Global Solutions and Thames Water.
