Our History

London Technology Network CIC is a not-for-profit company owned jointly by University College London, King's College London and Imperial College London.

We are aligned with the UK Government's Science and Innovation Strategy. An 'exempt charity', we aim to increase the number of interactions between businesses and technology researchers.

LTN was founded in 2001 following a successful bid for an initial £4M HEIF award, funded by the Department of Trade and Industry.

The Network is funded by the European Union, Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE),  the London Development Agency, East of England Development Agency (EEDA) and South East of England Development Agency (SEEDA), with strategic partners including THINK LONDON, London First, the Department of Trade and Industry among others.

The Board of London Technology Network includes senior representative from London Business School, University College London, Imperial College London and King's College London.

LTN's mission is aligned with the UK Government's Science and Innovation Strategy, which intends to promote innovation and make the most of the UK's science, engineering and technology base.

Our mission is 'helping companies succeed through technology-intensive innovation'
